There will be two main guides for the separate coral reef and inland rainforest portions of the trip. We will also have experienced guides trained as official Belizean guides at the Chan Chich Lodge.

Dr. Ken Mattes is a marine biologist whose research in shark behavior and other aspects of marine life make him a particularly knowledgeable guide. He is director of the TREC Marine Lab on Ambergris Caye, and lives there most of the year, where he teaches marine biology courses for undergraduates graduate students from more than 50 universities at the TREC lab every year.

Mr. Gregory Willis, a naturalist experienced in mammal and bird lore, will be traveling with the group.
Dr. Jacalyn Willis is Director of PRISM, a science education center at Montclair State University. She is a tropical ecologist with an on-going research program in Panama at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. Her doctorate in biology is from the City
University of New York, with a specialty in mammalian ecology. This trip will be the 10th group she has led to exotic locations.
